Colorama Petunia (Petunia multiflora)is a free-flowering petunia producing masses of colour, ideal for hanging baskets, pots, planters, window boxes and borders. Petunias are half hardy annuals flowering the same year, preferring a sunny position and well-drained soil.
How To Grow:
- Sow in trays or pots of seed compost. Gently press the fine seed into the surface.
- Keep moist and warm; 20-25C. Once germination is complete gradually reduce to approx. 15C; a warm kitchen windowsill is often sufficient.
- Thin (prick out) when seedlings are large enough to handle, to trays or pots.
- Gradually harden off before planting out, spacing 20cm apart.
- Remove dead heads regularly to prolong flowering.
When To Plant: Late Winter to mid Summer
Flowering: Late Spring to late Autumn.
